WHAT'S THIS GUY'S DEAL?

Sam Swanson is an award winning Equity/SAG-e actor-musician-improviser-Texan-Brooklynite-human-barely-qualifying-for-the-title-“multi-hyphenate.” Sam studied drama at the University of Arkansas and long-form improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade NY, and has appeared in a variety of stage productions with FringeNYC, The PIT, Theater Three, Stage West, Amphibian Stage, Dallas Children's Theater, and Undermain Theatre, to name a few.

Sam has also appeared in several TV shows, films, commercials, and music videos, both on-camera (including USA Network's Queen of the South, Forever the Sickest Kids' music video "Nikki," and commercials for Bose, Just For Men, and Match.com) and as a voice actor on shows featured on Adult Swim and Funimation, including One Piece (as "Shanba" and "Prince Bellet"), Ninja Slayer (as "Yamakita") and Attack on Titan (various roles).

Sam is also a musician and multi-instrumentalist (his Jackson X Series Concert bass and Korg MS2000 are his go-to weapons of choice). His most recent collaborative project, Blank-Men, had their music featured on an episode of Tony Hawk's online video series Ride, and has opened for The Toadies, The Briefs, and Radioactivity.

When he’s not performing, Sam works in audio and video production and editing, and has had his work featured on Night Flight Plus, on the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square, and by the punk/new wave band Devo.

He also feels weird about writing in the third person and isn’t a fan of it.
